Susan Holland, 57, died unexpectedly at her home in Scranton on Sunday, September 6, 2020.
Susan is survived by her loving children; three daughters; Nicole Holland, Erin Baxter, and Kristi Holland; her son, Tom Holland III, and daughter-in-law; Francesca. Susan also leaves behind seven grandchildren; including Kaitlyn and Carlie Holland, whom she raised as her own, and two newborn great-granddaughters.
Susan is also survived by her mother; Delores Ozack, and three cherished siblings; Christine Srebro, Cindy Ozack-Dunleavy, and Eddie Ozack. She is predeceased by her father, Edward F. Ozack Sr.
Susan was born on February 12, 1963, in Passaic, NJ, and graduated from Scranton Tech in 1981. Susan grew up in Hilltop Manor, among numerous friends who proudly remain a close-knit group to this day.
A 30-year employee at Kelly’s Pub & Eatery, Susan had dozens of regular customers with whom she developed true friendships and loved like family. More than employers, the “Kelly Girls” were some of her dearest friends.
Susan was giving and fun-loving, and enjoyed dancing, concerts, and the ocean. She will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by all who knew her.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, at 10 am, in St. Ann’s Basilica, Scranton. A viewing for family and friends will be held on Thursday from 2-6 PM in the Edward J. Chomko Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 262 Railroad Avenue, West Scranton. Those attending services are asked to wear a mask, practice social distancing, and limit physical contact.
