Theresa Ann Grado, 91, originally of West Scranton residing in Virginia Beach, passed away on January 22, 2019. Her husband was the late August B. Grado. Born in Scranton, she is the daughter of the late John and Julia Perrone Caporelli. Theresa was a graduate of West Scranton High School and was of the Catholic Faith. She was retired from the garment industry where she was a sewing machine operator. Theresa is survived by one son, Richard and his wife Maryanne Grado, a granddaughter Nicole Sincavage, Virginia Beach, VA., and numerous nieces and nephews. She is also predeceased by five brothers, Edward, Anthony, Albert, John J., and Joseph Caporelli and three sisters, Mary Caporelli, Pauline Maceyunas, and Rita Caporelli Walsh. A viewing for family and friends will be on Sunday, 3 to 6 PM at the Edward J. Chomko Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 262 Railroad Avenue, West Scranton 18505. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday morning at 10:30 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Chapel, 1605 Oram Street, Scranton, followed by internment in Cathedral Cemetery.
